Safety is a shared responsibility between users, facility owners, and platform administrators. The guidelines below apply to all bookings completed through Foodcap.

Provider Verification And Listing Standards

Facilities and equipment owners are expected to provide accurate listing details, current availability, and valid operating information.

Where applicable, providers should maintain business registration records and relevant food safety certifications for their operations.

  • Listings must reflect real location, capacity, and service scope.
  • Photos should represent current equipment and workspace condition.
  • Unsafe or misleading listings may be suspended.

On-Site Safety Requirements

Users must follow on-site operating rules, wear required protective gear, and use equipment only as instructed by trained personnel.

Do not bypass safety guards, remove warning labels, or operate unfamiliar equipment without supervision.

  • Use gloves, hairnets, and protective footwear where required.
  • Keep work areas clean and free from spill hazards.
  • Report damaged tools or unsafe electrical connections immediately.

Incident Reporting

For any accident, injury, or unsafe condition, notify the provider and Foodcap support as soon as possible. Include time, location, and a brief incident summary.

In case of emergency, contact local emergency services first before submitting a platform report.

  • Emergency number in Nigeria: 112.
  • Take clear photos only when safe to do so.
  • Submit incident details within 24 hours for faster review.
